Part of my Tapestry series, Tapestry I is a celebration of colour, texture, and storytelling. Each work in this series brings together bold abstract expression with elements of traditional craftsmanship — incorporating textiles and stitching as both visual feature and symbolic thread. Hand-sewn fabric details and layered embellished trims drawn from diverse backgrounds create a rich, tactile surface that blurs the boundary between painting and textile art.
At the heart of this series lies the tapestry metaphor: the idea that life is an unfolding story, woven from a thousand threads of memory, emotion, experience, and connection. Like a woven cloth, each painting reveals a complex pattern that becomes deeper and more intricate over time — just as our own stories do.
