It all begins with an idea.

This series of works takes inspiration from my walks in nature. I love nothing more than starting the day with a walk. I regularly walk around Northbridge on Sydney’s Lower North Shore and Sydney’s coastal tracks taking in the beauty of the landscape, the thousand shades of green, and the shapely leaves and bulbs. I’m drawn to the beauty of our native flora and the blooms that refuse to behave. The ones that lean, twist, unfurl in their own time. That’s where the beauty lives - in the becoming. This series is my exploration of beauty in growth, in freedom - in things not overly curated or restrained.

Like a garden left to do its own thing - a little wild, a little imperfect but naturally beautiful.
