Submerged III is part of a series of three abstract works inspired by drifting sea life and the quiet world of tiny, glowing organisms that inhabit our oceans. Organic forms appear to float and dissolve across the canvas as if carried by shifting currents.
The ocean is rarely just blue. In this series I’ve used a palette of soft grey, cerulean blue, blush pink and iridescent green to capture the life forms within.
At its core, the series reflects resilience — the ability of life to persist, adapt and quietly thrive in challenging, low-light environments. These works speak to endurance and renewal, revealing beauty in subtle strength and the gentle power of survival. A metaphor for life in any environment.
