Noosa is one of those naturally beautiful parts of Australia. When you walk the coastal track past Dolphin Point, towards Hells Hate and to Sunshine Beach if you’re keen, you feel revived. Green Fever is my response to that feeling of being totally immersed in nature - not just in Noosa but right down the East Coast of Australia - where the landscape becomes almost intoxicating in its intensity and beauty.
I imagined the view from above, with little bursts of colour appearing through the foliage. The pockets of colour in this work are a reference to Hastings Street, a little oasis of life on the edge of the green.
Medium: Acrylic on canvas with oil pastel
Size: 79cm (H) x 79cm (W)
Hanging: framed in flooded gum, with wire and hooks for hanging
Signed: front and back
