I painted Notes from the Track: Garden Reverie after a morning ramble through Hunters Hill and Woolwich. There was something unmistakably English about this area. And Australian too. Beautiful heritage homes tucked behind English hedges. Grand sandstone churches. Gardens so perfectly kept they look like paintings. And then amongst it all, a gem of a hidden pathway, overgrown with ivy and waiting to be discovered. Every walk fills my creative cup, none more so than this one.
Medium: Acrylic on canvas with oil pastel
Size: 76cm (H) x 76cm (W)
Hanging: beautifully framed in flooded gum, with wire and hooks for hanging
Signed: front and back
