A dense, overgrown garden where ferns tangle and compete. It’s less a view, more a feeling—of being fully immersed.
For me, as an artist, that sense of immersion is often experienced as a state of flow—absorbing, generative, and positive. Yet I am aware for others, particularly outside of creative fields, that same sensation can carry less positive feelings - a feeling of overwhelm, even loss of control.
What initially feels enclosing can be rich and beautiful — a kind of quiet holding. This work is an invitation to shift perspective—from feeling trapped in your experience - to being present and fully immersed.
Medium: Acrylic on canvas with oil pastel and embellishments
Size: 121cm X 91cm
Hanging: finished edges with hooks for hanging
Signed: front and back
