Inspired by Sydney’s meandering shorelines, ‘A trip around the point’ is a reminder of the natural beauty of our backyard and the adventures that await around every corner. What I love about this work is that it’s full of surprises. For me, I painted it as a coastline but when I stand back I see the most magnificent bunch of blooms. It captures perfectly what I wanted to convey, the beauty that is all around us. Sometimes we just need to open our eyes to the possibilities.
Medium: Acrylic on canvas with oil pastel
Size: 121cm (H) x 91cm (W)
Hanging: unframed (edges finished), ready to hang with D-rings and wire
Signed: on back
